Nigerian paralympian Onyema banned for doping

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has slapped a four-year ban Nigerian Paralympian Esther Onyema for committing an anti-doping rule violation

Onyeama tested positive to 19-norandrosterone found in her urine sample collected at the 2019 International Para Powerlifting competition which held in Lagos.

“The IPC, together with the International Federations and the National Paralympic Committees, established the IPC Anti-Doping Code (the Code) to prevent doping in sport for Paralympic athletes, in the spirit of fair play.
