Nigerian pilgrims return lost $1400 to owners

Two Nigerian pilgrims have returned lost sums of money they found in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

One of the pilgrims, Abubakar Haruna Kanike found the sum of $600, 700 CFA and N60,000 in a bag belonging to another pilgrim.

The recovered money has been handed over to the owner, Sani Umar.

ln a similar vein, Abdulsalam Abubakar, who is also a pilgrim from Kwara state, returned a sum of $800 belonging to one Haruna Babaji, a pilgrim from Borno state.

The Executive Secretary of Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Tunde Jimoh in a statement in Ilorin on Wednesday, thanked them “for demonstrating a high sense of honesty by returning the money”.

Jimoh said he was elated and thanked the two pilgrims for making Kwara State and the nation, proud.
