Nigerians urged to patronize local products

Nigerians have been urged to be patriotic by patronizing their products to any other in the world.

The Managing Director Atlantic Exhibitions Nigeria limited, Mr Ayo Olugbade who made this known said the country’s economy will be boosted if Nigerians start promoting their products.

Mr. Olugbade who was speaking in Lagos during a press conference on the forthcoming Lagos Fashion Fair 2019 said the fair is to help promote and create an enabling platform where creative Nigerian designers and fashion entrepreneurs connect with international designers to showcase the beauty and creativity of both world through their designs and innovations.

According to him, the three days fair which is scheduled for 25th-27th September 2019 at the Eko Convention Center Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island Lagos will feature over 40 talented and creative designers from Nigeria and other countries ready to showcase their exquisite pieces on the runway.

Mr .Olugbade wants all Nigerians both home and abroad to come and celebrate their own designers through their patronage calling on designers to avail themselves the opportunity to interact, network and build business relationships with talented Nigerian and international exhibitors.

“The main aim of this year’s fashion fair is to celebrate Nigerian entrepreneurs who have mastered the art of fashion by using it to make bold statements and create more versatility in their designs and brands. The Fashion Masterclass will treat varieties of topical issues that will help emerging and young designers set up and run successful and sustainable business both in Nigeria and to a global market. Promoting Nigerian products

The Marketing Manager Atlantic Exhibitions Nigeria limited, Olivia Modisakeng wants Nigerians to be proud to wear and patronize their products saying that the designers are unique, very creative and versatile and will do extremely well if encouraged.

According to her, Nigerian products are of high standard and can compete favorably across the globe.

“Promoting Nigerian designs means promoting export and tourism because outsiders will be encouraged to buy and wear the products. The fashion fair is also an opportunity to compare qualities and prices of designs in different countries that will showcase their brands. CEOs from different countries will be at the fair to give necessary advise to designers. This is not a fair any one should miss” she said.
