Nigeria’s IT regulation to boost sector- NITDA

The National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA says the new IT regulation of the agency will boost Nigeria’s IT Sector.

The Director General (NITDA), Dr Isa Pantami stated this during a meeting with the Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria (AOPN), at the Agency’s Corporate Head Office, Abuja,Nigeria.

Dr Pantami also noted that Nigeria is strategically placed to be the number 1 Outsourcing destination in Africa, considering her youthful population who are digital natives, the geographical location and the favourable government policies such as the executive orders 003 and 005.

Meanwhile the President of the Professional body, Mr Oyadairo Muyiwa, explained that the team was at NITDA to invite the Agency to its upcoming Outsourcing Expo, and also to partner the Agency for effective regulation of the Outsourcing Sector.

Muyiwa disclosed that the association body sees NITDA as a strategic partner in implementing its Mandate.
