The move by President Muhammadu Buhari to reconcile aggrieved members of the governing All Progressives Congress APC has been commended by the Nigerian legislature.

Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawal gave the commendation while speaking to Journalists at the Presidential Villa, where he observed the Juma’at prayer.

Lawal said the move was in the right direction and would yield the desired result.

“In fact that committee should have been constituted long time ago because APC is plagued by some internal issues, which I believe that they are surmountable.

The Tinubu committee will definitely add value into reconciling the warring sides, so to speak but time is against us we have to really kick start this process of reconciliation immediately and I believe that as a family we will come out much more united,” he said.

Speaking in the same vein, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello also said he believed in the ability of President Buhari to address the challenges confronting the APC, ahead of the 2019 election.

“Whatever the President believe in, in his judgement and wisdom, I believe in it and I believe in his ability to be able to put all the aggrieved party members together, surely I believe in him,” the Governor stated.
