Arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of collaboration between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Leadership Academy and the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC).
Group General Manager of the NNPC Leadership Academy, Mr Isah Lapai Abubakar disclosed this on Wednesday, during a courtesy visit to the NARC in Abuja.
Mr. Abubakar also commended the NARC for its efforts in human resource development and expressed satisfaction with the state-of-the-art facilities and the general outlook of Centre.
He assured the leadership of the NARC that the management of the Leadership Academy will strive to ensure that both parties enjoy a robust collaboration.
“The NNPC Leadership Academy intends to collaborate with NARC in the delivery of training programmes in the area of provision of Resource Persons and facilities,” Mr Abubakar stated.
Director-General of the NARC, Maj Gen G.A. Wahab (Rtd), in his remarks, said he was delighted by the visit of the NNPC Leadership Academy Management team and highlighted some of the numerous achievements of the Centre since its establishment in 2015.
In his brief on the mandate of the Centre, Maj Gen Wahab said NARC was established to among other things, “proffer research based solutions to defence and security problems to the military and the nation in general.”
The NNPC Leadership Academy team was later conducted on a guided tour of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre’s facilities.
