No case of Coronavirus in Taraba State – Commissioner

The Taraba State Commissioner for Health and the chairman of committee against the spread of Covid-19 in the State Dr. Innocent Vakai says there is no positive case of Coronavirus in the State.

Dr. Vakai who stated this in a press briefing in Jalingo, Taraba state capital noted that all the three suspected cases recorded in the state tested negative.

“Recently there were suspected cases in the state and the samples of the blood were sent to Abuja for testing and they all came back negative”

He stressed that the committee with the State Government is putting modalities in place to ensure that no case of Coronavirus is recorded in the state.

“So far as at 7th April, 2020, there are no recorded cases of the Coronavirus in Taraba. This is possible because the people of Taraba State have been trying their best in maintaining their personal hygiene and the State government have been putting modalities to ensure that the state is free from the virus” he said.

The Commissioner also called on the people of the state not to relent in their efforts in maintaining personal hygiene and observing the universal acceptable protocol of social distancing and the use of hand sanitizer to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state.
