Equity transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange market took a positive trend as the All Share index (ASI)increased by 0.17%.
The ASI which closed at 0.17% or 24.972.94 basis points on Wednesday was 42.06 point higher than Tuesday’s 24,930.88 basis points.
The market capitalisation appreciated by 2 billion or 0.17% to close at N13.02trillion on Wednesday as against N13trillion on Tuesday.
At the end of the day’s trading, a total of 265.96 million of shares valued at N2.7billion were exchanged in 3,564 deals.
Top gainers were Nestle which gained 10.00 percent or N99.50 to close at N1,094.50k followed by Flourmill which gained 4.35 percent or N0.85k to close at N20.40k while Cadbury also gained 6.67 percent or N0.50k to close at N8.00k
On the Losers side were Seplat which lost 9.99 percent or N47.60k to close atN428.80k followed by Guaranty which lost 2.54percent or N0.60k to close at N23.00k.
Also Dangotesugar lost N2.03 percent Or N0.30k to close at N14.50k.
Guaranty dominated activity chart exchanging 43,674 shares valued at N1.02 billion while UACN traded 41,199 shares valued at N288.66million.
Wednesday’s trading ended with the market recording 24 losers and 10 gainers.
