The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange appreciated for the first time this week, gaining 0.12 percentage points or 32.11 basis points to close at 26,397.94 basis points.
Likewise the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.12 percent or 16 billion naira, which closed on Wednesday at 12,850 trillion Naira from 12, 834 trillion Naira on Tuesday.
In Wednesday’s trading, a sum of 290,935 million units of shares worth N2,779 billion were exchanged by investors in 2,668.00 deals.
However, the number of stocks that appreciated on Wednesday, dropped from 11 gainers on Tuesday to 8 gainers on Wednesday, while 11 stocks fell as against 12 decliners from yesterday’s transactions.
OMOLUABI MORTGAGE BANK PLC led the gainers’ table with 0.05k increase in price, from 0.50k per share on Tuesday to 0.55k per share on Wednesday, gaining 10.00 percent.
Next is UACN PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT COMPANY PLC which gained 0.09k or 9.00 percent, closing at N1.09k per share as compared to N1.00 per share on Tuesday.
Then A.G. LEVENTIS NIGERIA PLC. which had a previous closing of 0.26k per share, gained 0.02k or 7.69 percent to close at 0.28k per share on Wednesday.
Conversely, UNION DIAGNOSTIC & CLINICAL SERVICES PLC declined from a previous closing price of 0.24k per share to 0.22k per share, losing 0.02k or 8.33 percent.
While LASACO ASSURANCE PLC declined from 0.28k per share to 0.26k per share, shedding off 0.02k or 7.14 percent.
Further more, JAIZ BANK PLC declined by 0.03k or 6.25 percent to close at 0.45k per share from 0.48k per share.
