NUJ, VON chapel provides free medical services to members

The Nigerian Union of Journalists, Voice of Nigeria Lagos Chapel in collaboration with LiveWell Initiative, has organized free medical services for its members.

The exercise which took place at the Broadcasting House, Ikoyi-Obalende, Lagos state was attended by members of Staff .

The Chairman VON Chapel, Adamson Momoh, expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the event and gave assurance that he will work tirelessly with the exco to serve the members of the Union always.

Momoh also pledged that there will be a re stage of such Medical Exercise before the end of the year.

He said, “this event is an eye opener and a road that will take our great Union NUJ to greater heights.”

The LiveWell Initiative carried out ranges of tests to include, Hepatisis B and C, HIV, Sugar level, Oral, Eye, BMI, Stress Level, e.t.c and also gave out free drugs.

Voice of Nigeria members of Staff who benefited from the exercise expressed gratitude adding that the Health Program has saved them lots of money and given them peace of mind because they now know their health status.

LiveWell Initiative, LWI, is a self-sustaining not-for-profit health-promotion and empowerment organisation with a national orientation and an international outlook.

LWI has as its mission to improve the health status of the people of Africa through wellness promotion and health-empowerment, thereby positively influencing their health-seeking behaviour.
