Japanese tennis prodigy Naomi Osaka is now the most expensive sportswoman in the world.
That means she pips American tennis powerhouse Serena Williams to second, earning more than $1.4 million (£1.15m).
Female tennis players have always occupied top spot on Forbes’s women’s list since 1990 with either Williams or retired Russian Maria Sharapova leading the way from 2004.
Osaka currently has 15 sponsorship deals, including global brands such as Nike, Nissan Motors, Shiseido, and Yonex.
