Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has expressed his desire to help his club, Lille, qualify for the Champions League at the end of the 2019/20 season with his goals.
Osimhen in an interview with our correspondent, also said he hopes to end the season as the highest goalscorer at the end of the season.
“I don’t know what the future hold but I think for now, I am a player of Lille, I am so happy to be there , we never know what will happen,”
“As for the goals, I want to keep scoring goals, maybe I can be the highest goalscorer, maybe not, but I would love to become the highest goalscorer and to keep giving my best for my club.
“So, I want to get as many goals I can get for my team and qualify for the Champions League,” he said.
The Eagles forward already has 13 goals in 24 appearances for Lille since joining from from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi €15m last August.
He has scored 10 of those goals in Ligue 1 to stay third on the scorers’ log behind Wissam Ben Yedder and Kylian Mbappé who are on 13 and 11 goals respectively.
His goals have helped Lille climb to fourth position on the league table with 31 points from 19 matches.
