Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has won Lille’s Player of the Month award for August, following his impressive start to the 2019/20 season.
This was revealed via the club’s official Twitter handle on Thursday.
The 20-year-old has netted four goals in four Ligue 1 games for Lille since his move to France this summer.
Osimhen bagged a brace against Nantes in Lille’s opening day and was also hit a double in their 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne.
The former Sporting Charleroi and Wolfsburg striker picks up the award having fended off competition from Loic Remy and Jose Fonte.
He will be aiming to add to his tally when Lille host Angers after the international break next Saturday.
Meanwhile, Osimhen tops Lille’s 22-man official squad for the 2019/2020 Champions League season.
The Ligue 1 club, have been drawn to face 2012 winners Chelsea, last season’s semi-finalist Ajax and Spanish giants Valencia in Group H of the competition.
