The state Executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under the leadership of Senator Masa’ud El-Jubrin Doguwa and thousands of their supporters have decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Addressing journalists in Kano state, the PDP chairman, Doguwa said he decided to collapsed the state leadership of the party into APC, “ due to the injustice being meted out to us by the Prince Uche Secondus National leadership.”
According to him, we have no choice but to take this decision of leaving the PDP. Today, we have decided to move to the APC.
He said the decision is join hands with the Ganduje led administration to developedeveloped the state.
He said the mass movement will aid the fortunes of Governor Ganduje to win the up coming gubonatorial election on Saturday.
He said the defection will seriously affect PDP in Kano.
“You are aware that for a very long time, PDP has been sick. PDP in Kano became very sick when the Prince Uche Secondus National leadership decided to divide the party for his own interest and that of his friends and cronies.”
Doguwa further stated that, “when I came in as the chairman of the party, we started with two groups led by Ambassador Aminu Wali and the former Governor of the, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
“At a point, when Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso came in from nowhere, they forced Malam Shekarau to leave PDP unceremoniously and against his wish.
