PDP wins majority in Oyo House of Assembly

The People’s Democratic Party PDP in Oyo state has won majority of the seats in the state House of Assembly elections.
It won 26 out of the 32 seats contested for by 695 candidates from Akinyele 1, Saki West, Ibadan North 1, Ibarapa east, Lagelu and Ona Ara.
Other parts of the state where candidates emerged from were Oluyole, Ogbomosho south, Egbeda, Iwajowa, Ido, Kajola and Oorelope.
Won by a female candidate
The All Progressives Congress, APC won in 5 contistuencies namely, Afijio, Oriire,  Atiba, Oyo East & Oyo West, Ogo-Oluwa & Surulere.
The last seat was won by a female candidate representing the Action Democratic Party ADP in Ogbomosho constituency.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC Mutiu Agboke said the results had already been declared at different local government headquarters.
He also said that the supplementary election for Ibarapa North and central federal constituency was also won by the PDP’s Ajibola Muraina.
