Police confirms two deaths in Kogi state



The Kogi state police command has confirmed that two persons have been killed while two other persons sustained gun wounds during Saturday’s assembly elections in the state.

Spokesman of the state police command, Mr Williams Aya told Voice of Nigeria in Lokoja that the incident occurred in Atuma village in Ankpa local government Area of the state.

Mr Aya also confirmed that two houses were burnt in Ganaja village, an outskirt of Lokoja the state Capital while a vehicle has been burnt in the same area just as similar Incident happened in Gboloko Town in Bassa local government Area in Eastern senatorial district of the state.

Results of the elections are still being collated across the state while final results are expected this Sunday.

However, the Spokesperson of INEC, Mr Ahmed Bagudu said accreditation and voting is ongoing in Mopa Muro state constituency.
