strengthening immunity of children against poliomyelitis.
According to him “the immunisation plus has commenced today in five Local government areas with the fractional inactivated polio vaccination and tomorrow, we will go from house to house. All necessary arrangements towards successful immunisation have been concluded and ready for implementation”.
He therefore urged mothers to make their children available for the immunisation to ensure total coverage of the State.
“As we inch closer to the finishing line, the leadership and people of Kaduna State must remain focused,
resolute and dedicated to achieving complete eradication of polio virus that has caused us so much physical and
social pain”, the Executive Secretary stressed.
He said the State had remained polio-free since November 2012 and appealed to parents who refused to make their children available for the immunisation to do so for the good health of the children.
He also appreciated partners for supporting immunisation activities and other healthcare programmes in the State.
The Chairman, Kaduna North Local Government Council, Saleh Shu’aibu, noted that, the council would continue to support the State government towards eradicating polio.
