President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday morning, joined other delegates to await the official announcement of results at the governing party’s convention in the capital, Abuja.
Candidates for over twenty national executive positions ran unopposed at the on-going All Progressives Congress, APC, National Convention at Eagle square in Abuja.
Among the positions that went unopposed was that of the National Chairman which had been automatically won through a voiced vote, for former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole.
Some other candidates running for different offices publicly stepped down and declared their support for others running for the same positions.
The unopposed offices were voted by voiced affirmation.
Nigeria’s governing party held its Elective National Convention on Saturday, to fill the sixty offices that would manage the party for the next four years.
