President Buhari inaugurates N1.2 billion Emergency Notification Centre in Kaduna

President Buhari on Thursday inaugurated a N1.24  billion Emergency Notification Centre with real time technology and other facilities built by the Kaduna State government to enhance surveillance and security of the state.

Speaking at the event, the President applauded the Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led administration for initiating the project, noting that tackling the security challenges bedevilling the country required the cooperation of the authorities at both the federal and state levels.

The President, who also commended the Kaduna facility which was built to activate the use of real time technology in combating insecurity in the state, assured of the federal government’s support in the provision of resources towards improving the general security situation across States of the country.

Earlier in his welcome address, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai explained that the emergency facility was built with modern and real time technology including the use of drones to monitor every inch of the state.

He said the state government will continue to provide the enabling environment, including accommodation to aid security agencies tin carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.
