President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with State Governors elected under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governors were led by Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, who is also the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum.
The agenda of the meeting between the President and the Governors was not revealed to anxious Journalists, as the Governors declined comments at the end of the meeting.
However, it may not be far from the crisis rocking the national leadership as well as Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It is expected that the Governors sought Presidential intervention with a view to finding solutions to the political misunderstanding between the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshomohole and Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo, ahead of next year’s Governorship election in the state.
The President will hold a similar meeting with State Chairmen of the party form the 36 states on Friday December 6.
