The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is in Bauchi on a condolence visit, days after it witnessed windstorm and fire disasters that wrecked some parts of the State.
President Buhari was received by the state’s Governor, Muhammed Abubakar and other government officials including Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Kawuwa Damina and Secretary to the state government, Mohammed Nadada, among others.
President Buhari had dispatched a ‘strong delegation’ to visit the State on a similar mission.
Besides the windstorm that killed at least eight persons on Saturday, June 16, 2018, a strange fire also destroyed property worth millions of Naira at Azare market in Bauchi State.
The President is expected back in Abuja later in the day.
