President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, after attending the 33rd Summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The President touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 17:30 hours GMT on Wednesday.
He was received by the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Ramatu Tijjani, alongside the Permanent Secretary-State House, Jalal Arabi.
Others who were at the airport to receive the President were Governors of Imo and Cross River States; Hope Uzodinma and Professor Ben Ayade and Heads of Security agencies.
He was later airlifted through helicopter to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President had earlier in the day paid a sympathy visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, to condole with the government and people of the state over the killing of some citizens by boko haram insurgents.
The President departed Nigeria for Ethiopia on Friday February 7.
