President Muhammadu Buhari is back to Abuja after spending five days in his hometown Daura, Katsina State.
The jet conveying the President touched down at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 11:36 GMT.
He was received alongside his wife Aisha by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
The Nigerian leader has been in Daura since Thursday March 7 for the gubernatorial and State Assembly elections which took place on Saturday March 9.
He is expected to preside over the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
