The Nigerian Supreme court on Tuesday struck out the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party and its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar against a ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

This comes ahead of the final address before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

In its ruling, the PEPC held that Atiku abubakar and the People’s Democratic Party PDP do not have a reply to an application filed on May 14, 2019, by the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking among other reliefs, the dismissal of their petition challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the 2019 presidential election.

Ruling on the appeal, a five-man panel led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, struck out the appeal for having become statute-barred.
