Queue management technology to enhance business in Nigeria’s capital

The Nigerian Federal Capital Territory  Administration, FCTA,  has rolled out a queue management technology in the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) to enhance business transactions in AGIS and Land Administration Department.

Launching the technology at the Front Desk of the Customer Service in Abuja, the Director of AGIS, Dr. Isa Jalo said that the initiative is borne of the desire to enhance business transactions and accelerate service delivery to the ever influx of people into the complex.

The Director noted that the innovations are in compliance and full realization of the Executive Order of the Federal Government on the “Ease of Doing Business”.

Dr. Jalo also assured that, AGIS is more than ever committed to fast track the way businesses are conducted because much is expected of all government agencies that have direct bearing on the day to day lives of people, particularly those that troop in and out on daily basis.

He emphasized that it is a new chapter in the way land related businesses are performed in the Federal Capital Territory, stressing that “it is the interest of the customers first”.

According to the director “With this deployment, AGIS service area now enjoys convenience, organization and sanity courtesy of a state of the art E-Queue Management System (E-QMS) installed by the AGIS in-house team.This means the customer service queuing process is now automated and customers don’t have to wait in long queues to be served”.

As the current System also provides options for adverts to facilitate the revenue drive encouraged by the Administration, the solution when fully extended, will further provide online appointments and queue bookings”.

“Meanwhile, imbedded in the solution are powerful analysis and business intelligence tools provided to improve efficiency, measure KPI, give customer feedbacks and report on performance of personnel”.

“This new technology has on its platform: – Finance, New Application, Information & Customer Care, Legal Search/Certificate of Occupancy as well as Survey.Under Finance there are receipt production, receipt collection and bills; while New Application has individual Application & Organizational Application; Information & Customer Care has enquiry, reports and mails & letters submission; Legal Search/C-OF-O collection has C-OF-O collection, Legal Search & Legal Search Reports; while Survey has TDP Production, Site Plan Data as well as Map production”, he added.
