Re-run Election: Businesses in Kano remain closed as results are awaited

Kano as the commercial nerve centre of Northern Nigeria is witnessing another round of business shut down following the re run Gubernatorial Election held on Saturday 23rd March, 2019.
Barely 24 hours after concluding the Election and collation at INEC headquarters, businesses remained closed.
Voice of Nigeria correspondent in the state visited some measure market within the metropolis and found out that their main entrance remained shut.
Some of the market visited are: famous Textiles materials market Kantin Kwari, Muhammad Abubakar Rimi market (Sabon Gari) Kasuwar (Singer) to mention just a few.
The only sector that emerged vibrant after the re run Election in the state is transport in some stations monitored from Na’ibawa yan lemo to Unguwa Uku and Kano line stations travellers are seen busy about boarding vehicles of their choice.
When interviewed a passenger name Muhammad Sunusi said “he is traveling to Abuja after coming down to elect candidate of his choice.
Malam Abdullah is a transportation worker ” we are fully back to business immediately after the election yesterday as you can see”
As at the time of filing in this report only few people are seen moving along the streets even vehicles movement on the measure roads is not as usual as people await and see what will happen after the announcement of the final results by the INEC.
