The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Bauchi State, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi has expressed satisfaction over the over all conduct of elections in the State.

In an interview during a tour around polling units in the state, he said the success recorded was due to the hard work of INEC in the State.

“I’m highly satisfied because the most important thing in electoral process is the conduct must be peaceful and orderly and so far from what we have gone round to see everybody seem happy and there was orderliness, you’ve heard from the presiding officers there were no challenges so it was a good outing as far as am concerned” he said.

“Am highly impressed with the general conduct and comportment of both the voters and INEC officials although the turn out seems to be so low”.

He added that voting all over the State commenced at 8.00am which made the process fast, he also commended security agent as there was no record of violence in the state.

As at the time of filing in this report, voting had ended and collation was ongoing.
