It has been a summer of upheaval at Bayern Munich, but the club is eager to hold on to their key players. The Bundesliga champions released numerous players, signed top players, and most importantly, held on to their most consistent players.
Robert Lewandowski, 31, is one of these players at Bayern that deliver top performances consistently. The former Borussia Dortmund striker also insisted that Bayern is one of the top three clubs in Europe.
“FC Bayern has become my sporting home. Besides, my family and I are happily settled in Munich. I’m convinced we’ll achieve a lot in the next few years,” Lewandowski said.
“Bayern are one of the three biggest clubs in the world, and we have an outstanding team. I’m proud to be part of this club,” Lewandowski added.
The Pole has been a prolific goalscorer for the Bundesliga champions in the last five seasons. He has started this campaign brilliantly by scoring five goals in the first two league games.
Despite his age, Lewandowski is confident that he can play at the top level for four more years.
