Security meeting underway at Presidential Villa

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is in a closed door meeting with Service chiefs and heads of security agencies.

The meeting, which started at 10:00 GMT, is taking place at the President’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The high profile meeting is expected to review the security situation in the country and also take proactive measures that will guarantee hitch free Eid-el Kabir celebrations.

Attendees at the meeting include Service Chiefs, the National Security Advise, babagana Monguno, defence Minister, Mansur Dan-Ali, as well as the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris and the Acting Director General of the Directorate of State Services, Mathew Seiyefa.

President Buhari will later in the day travel to his hometown Daura, Katsina State, for the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
