The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Boss Mustapha has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for the smooth conduct of election process in Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria.
The SGF made the commendation after casting his vote at the 009 new government house main gate pulling unit.
“the process is running very well, it just took me barely two to three minutes through the accreditation process and voting process. The process is running smoothly”
On his expectations about the outcome of the elections, Mr Mustapha said ‘obviously we are winning ‘.
Assessing the Voter turnout, he said “I believe it will increase within the next couple of hours. You know the typical Nigerian attitude, we started the system and they know it’s seamless so everybody is doing one thing or the other in their various homes. They will soon begin to come out. I believe there will be increase in turnout.
“where ever people are they should realise that this is a national duty, a civic duty confired Blythe constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Every four years you have an opportunity of deciding who will lead you. So it is not a responsibility to be taken likely”, the SGF added.
Mr. Boss Mustapha said he was happy that there has not been any post election violence in Adamawa State.
“..luckily and by the grace of God we didn’t have post election violence in Adamawa and we expect this election to also be peaceful”.
