The sokoto state government says it will employ the Indonesian interest free loan scheme to improve Small and Medium Enterprises among businesses in the State.
Governor Aminu waziri Tambuwal stated this when he received the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, who paid him a Sallah visit at Government House in Sokoto State North West Nigeria.
Governor Tambuwal stated this during their recent visit to Indonesia they experienced many programmes that could be adopted for the benefit of Sokoto business environment.
He assured people of the state that the commission to oversee the affairs of the programme would soon be constituted and to ensure that it will not have any political inclination.
Governor Tambuwal also said that through the development government would map out strategies of providing more employment opportunities to the teeming youths in the State.
He added that government in collaboration with security agencies would continue adopt measures aimed at ensuring sustainable peace to encourage more investment in the state.
Governor Tambuwal thanked the Sultan for his effective leadership, members of the sultanate council and District heads for their support to his administration.
Earlier, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, commended the Governor and his lieutenants for the assistance being rendered to the people in various sectors.
Sultan Abubakar also urged leaders in the state to differentiate between politics and governace pointing out that period of politics is over hence they should unite and work together for the progress of the state.
He also called on the Governor to remove from office any person that is administratively incompetent to ensure effective governance in the State.
The sultan use the medium and called on people of the State to continue to cooperate with government policies and programmes for the overall development of the State.
