The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed Thursday’s transactions with the All Share Index appreciating by 0.21 per cent.

At the close of the day’s trading activities, the All Share Index stood at 36,688.91 basis points, 78.08 basis points higher than Wednesday’s closing of 36,612.83 basis points.

The market capitalisation on the other hand, closed on Thursday at 13,392 trillion Naira, 129 billion Naira or 0.97 per cent gain compared to previous closing of 13,263 trillion Naira recorded on Wednesday.

In comparison to Wednesday’s 2.40 million shares, worth 4.98 billion Naira traded in 3,494.00 deals, the market on Thursday, traded 3.2 million shares at the value of 3.5 billion Naira in 3,293.00 deals even as 23 stocks gained, 18 depreciated and all others remained unchanged as against Thursday’s 21 stocks that gained, 24 declined with the prices on the other stocks remaining the same.

Gainers
PORTLAND PAINTS & PRODUCTS NIGERIA PLC gained most on Thursday with an opening price of N2.05 kobo per share and a closing price of N2.25 kobo per share, gaining 0.20 kobo or 9.76 per cent.

UACN PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT CO. LIMITED opened atN1.55 kobo per share and closed at N1.70 kobo per share, gaining 0.15 kobo or 9.68 per cent.

LASACO ASSURANCE PLC opened for transaction at 0.33 kobo per share and closed at 0.36 kobo per share, gaining 0.03 kobo or 9.09 per cent.

Losers
SECURE ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY PLCmade more loss compared to other stocks. The company shares opened for transaction at the price of 0.40 kobo per share and closed at 0.36 kobo per share, lossing 0.04 kobo or 10.00 per cent.

Following with almost five per cent lower is FLOUR MILLS NIGERIA PLC with an opening price of N28.70kobo per share and a closing price of N27.15 kobo per share, falling by N1.55 kobo or 5.40 per cent.

Then OANDO PLC which opened at N5.85 kobo per share and closed at N5.60 kobo per share, fell by 0.25 kobo or 4.27per cent.
