The State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, have introduced E-Monetary policy to ensure effective monitory and evaluation of the activities of the agency.
The Executive secretary, Mr. Hamid Boboye, stated this at the four days training workshop for member of staff of SUBEB in Kaduna State, North west Nigeria.
Mr. Boboye stated: “The public would be able to monitor the agency’s project from using the E-Monetary from the beginning to the end in the delivery of quality education that would have impact on the children.”
A representative from the National space research and development agency, Dr.Godstime James, explains that his agency is ready to partner with UBEC to give the necessary support by deploying space technology for project monitoring and conduct training with regards to how space technology can be used to efficiently monitor projects implemented by UBEC.
He further explained: “Server has been created in the cloud, so that captured projects can be sent to the database to monitor and access the project before payments are made and by so doing it could help in avoiding the substandard infrastructure and also reduce the level of corruption in the system.’’
Stakeholders at the meeting believe that creativity should be introduced in the issue of project management and monitoring as changes are required in the system.
