Nigerians have been urged to desist from gathering wealth which is meant for the masses of the country.
The called was made by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad, during the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs general meeting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Alh Sa’ad said that the event is to discuss issues that affect Islam and look for possible solutions to them.
He also said that Islam is the religion of peace despite efforts by some people to give the religion a negative image.
“Like so many countries of the world, Nigeria is facing so many challenges which we don’t have to mention them and start getting emotion. We believe there is no problem in the world that can’t be solutions if we are committed and God fearing. Our coming together is to find solution to those problems,” Alh Sa’ad said.
The Nigeria vice President Prof Yemi Osinbanjo in his massage said that the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs promotes and also sell an important massage between the Muslims community in Nigeria.
“He further commended role of leadership of the council and the role the play in National Development as making the council available for the promotion of peace.”
In his Lecture, topic ‘the Nexus between Islam and National Development’, the Nigeria Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami said that Islam is synonymous to development.
Dr. Pantami also says Islam is the religion of Peace because in the Holy Quran, Islam advocate for development.
According to Dr. Pantami, “This is another dimension to say that Islam is all about development, because in clear terms people supplicated against themselves but Allah S.W.T rejected their supplication by saying we are not after destruction. This is to tell you how Islam merciful to humanity through development”.
On her part, the wife of the Nigeria President Mrs. Aisha Buhari called on Nigerians to shun away from spreading fake news.
Mrs Buhari also call on Nigerians on the need to work together in order achieve a great Nation.
