As hours turn to minutes ahead of the Nigeria/South Africa clash, the Super Eagles coaching crew has one message – We’re ready!
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, while speaking with the the Official YouTube Channel of the Nigeria national football team, nicknamed Super Eagles – the reigning Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions – said all was now set for the ‘make-or-break’ game.
One worry of most Super Eagles fans is goal keeper Daniel Akpeyi.
Some fans have pointed out that the Bafana Bafana would try to exploit their knowledge of the South African-based goalie to pick a ‘massive win.’
But Alloy Agu, ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper and currently one of the goalkeeper coaches of the current squad, says Nigerians have nothing to fear.
Nigeria will face South Africa at the Cairo International stadium at 19.00 hours GMT.
