Taekwondoist seeks peace at NTF


Proprietor of Kenny Martial Arts Taekwondo Academy Kehinde Salawu has pleaded with the warring parties in the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation to embrace peace.

Salawu,  who is one of the pioneer taekwondoists in the country, made the appeal at the just-concluded  7th Kenny Martial Arts U-16 Taekwondo Championship  at the National Stadium,  Lagos

The martial artist, who lamented the division in the country’s taekwondo,   said no meaningful achievement would be made with the crisis in the federation.

He pleaded with the Margaret Binga NTF board to work towards restoring calm to the federation.

St. Jude’s Private School, Festac, Lagos, won the tournament with  eight gold,  five silver and  five bronze  while Pathfinder Academy Ijoko, Ogun State,  came second with  seven gold, three  silver and  two bronze. Fazlomar School placed third with five gold, three Silver and two bronze.
