President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali, has called on the cooperate world to support Nigerian wrestler, Odunayo Adekuoroye, and the federation as they prepare for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Adekuoroye won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan. She also became the country’s first wrestler to pick an Olympics ticket.
Reacting to the news of bookmaking company Bet9ja signing a Big Brother Naija housemate as an affiliate ambassador, the Olympic gold medallist told the company and others to look at sports as a proper place to invest in.
“Time to look the way of Nigeria’s most consistent high performing Olympic athlete Odunayo Adekuoroye, support her and the Nigeria wrestling federation to win medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics,” he said.
Adekuoroye is currently ranked no.3 in the world in the women’s 57kg in the freestyle category.
