Twenty Commissioners join Niger State Executive Council

The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bello has inaugurated 20 Commissioners into the Executive Council for his second term administration.

Inaugurating them in Minna, the State Capital on Wednesday, Alhaji Bello enjoined the new Commissioners to cooperate with their respective permanent secretaries in moving the state to a greater height.

“I congratulate you and urge you to take this call to service as a golden privilege to contribute your quota and I have no doubt that your appointment will further boost our resolve to transform the state to one of the most socio-economically developed in Nigeria,” he said.

The Governor further urged the new appointees to be proactive, exhibit high sense of patriotism and work hard to enable the government to consolidate on its achievements in office.

The oat of office of the new Commissioners was administered by the acting Chief Judge of  the state, Justice Maimuna Abubakar.

The Commissioners and their portfolios are; Barrister  Nasara Danmallam, Ministry of Justice, Zakari Abubakar Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Yusuf Suleman, Ministry of Water Resources, Dr. Mustapha Jibrin, Ministry of Investment, Commerce and Industry, Mr. Sunday Kolo, Ministry of Mineral Resources, Hajia Ramatu Yaradua, Ministry of Transport, Hajia Hannatu Salihu, Ministry of Education, Ibrahim Panti, Ministry of Works, Alhaji Haruna Dukku, Ministry of Livestock,  and Alhaji Mamman Musa Ministry of Budget and Planning.

Others are; Hajiya Rifkatu Adamu Chidawa, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs Tasallah Fati Marafa, Ministry of Women Affairs, Dr. Abubakar Baba Aliyu, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Barrister. Mohammed Zakari, Ministry of Environment, Barrister  Muktar Nasale, Ministry of Lands and Housing, Alhaji Abubakar Halliru Jikantoro , Ministry of Agriculture, Alhaji Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Dr. Mohammed Sidi, Ministry of Health, Mohammed Sani Idris, Ministry of Information and Mr. Emmanuel Umar, Ministry of Youth Affairs.
