Nigeria’s Falconets commenced their 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France with a 0-1 loss to Germany on Monday.

In a very tight match that could have gone either way, German striker Sanders found the back of the net on 69 minutes.

Nigeria rallied to get an equalizer, but found German keeper Fischer a hard nut to crack, as time and again the 19 year old thwarted their efforts on goal.

The Falconets must now win their remaining matches against China and Haiti to stand any chance of advancing to the next round.
