Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will deliver the keynote address as Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark the 2018 World Environment Day.
The event, which takes place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, will be attended by members of the diplomatic corps, ministers and other senior government officials.
The theme of this year’s event is “Beat Plastic Pollution”, which is aimed at tackling single-use plastic pollution.
Also, the Vice President will launch the Niger Delta New Vision website.
The Buhari administration’s Niger Delta New Vision is designed to “develop a new and prosperous Niger Delta through the forthright partnerships between the Federal Government, State Governments, Private Sector and Local Communities.”
