Voting commenced at exactly 8am at the kofan Buri 002 polling unit of Kafin Madaki, Ganjwa local government area of bauchi State.
Voters began to arrive at the polling Unit at about 5.30 in the morning.
Our correspondent spoke with a former member of the House of Representatives in the state, Mr. Yahaya Imam.
Mr. Imam said the exercise has been impressive adding that no problems has been encountered with the card readers.
In another interview with the Voice of Nigeria’s Jennifer Inah,head of the Kafin Madaki Community, Mr Suleiman Adamu expressed satisfaction with the entire voting process as he cast his vote by 8.00am.
He added that the process has been fast and peaceful.
