WAFU recalls Sierra Leone to replace Morocco

The West African Football Union (WAFU) has recalled Sierra Leone to participate in the 2019 WAFU Competition in Senegal.

Morocco had been drawn up to participate in the tournament for the first time after Sierra Leone were banned from international football by FIFA earlier in the year.

The north African country announced their non-participation on Tuesday and pulled out of the competition scheduled to kick off next week in Senegal.

The Leone Stars will now replace Morocco and play Liberia on September 29, in their first group game.
