The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has flagged off the construction of 1.5 million litters capacity water scheme in Tureta local government area of the State.
Flagging off the water scheme, Governor Tambuwal, said the project is part of his administration commitments to boost water supply across the country.
He said the project which cost four hundred million Naira would serve Tureta local government and its environs with potable water.
Governor Tambuwal said his administration would continue to be determined in fulfilling its campaign promises as provision of water as one of it.
The Governor therefore use the opportunity and laid the foundation for the construction of classroom blocks for the Junior Secondary School Tsamiya in Tureta local government.
He said the project would be executed at the cost of eighty six million Naira.
Governor Tambuwal equally announced that the school would be upgraded to the status of government Day senior secondary School after the completion of the project.
