Zambia to dislodge human trafficking cartels

Zambian Minister for Home Affairs, Stephen Kampyongo says the country is determined to ensure that human trafficking cartels are busted.

The Minister stated this in Johannesburg, during a Ministerial Conference on Migration Dialogue for Southern Africa.

He noted that, Zambia would not ignore the illegalities involving human trafficking.

Mr. Kampyongo observed that there is need to collaborate among SADC countries to ensure that trafficking cartels were busted in the region.

According to him it is important to address migration challenges, also important for SADC to appreciate the potentials of migration.

the resolutions passed was the need to understand the linkages between migration and sustainable development”. he added.

Other resolutions included migration management and governance in Southern Africa, the implementation of alternatives to child immigration detention.
